This year I had the opportunity to celebrate low Art Day on April 11 at Elsewhere in Greensboro. For Slow Art Day I decided to invite people to participate in my project SEEN, which was recently included in an exhibition at Greensboro College.
The project was conducted on the front stage at Elsewhere utilizing books from their personal collection, as well as, books from the library at Greensboro College.
SEEN asks willing visitors to slow down and look, taking 10 minutes to look at a preselected image and write what they see. With the foot traffic in downtown Greensboro and the welcoming atmosphere of the museum, Elsewhere was the perfect location for a Slow Art Day project.
You can view images and scans from this collaboration on the project page for SEEN.
