Gallery Tally at Fair in Brickell City Centre during Art Basel Miami Beach 2017

Lydia Orange and I collaborated on a piece for Gallery Tally, Michol Hebron's project social engagement art project in which artists and designers from around the world collect and visualize statistical data regarding ratios of male and female artists in top contemporary art galleries. Our poster on Fredric Snitzer Gallery was featured in Fair at Brickell City Center during Art Basel Miami Beach. Fair received considerable press including:

Lorene Delany-Ullman and I kicked off Click! Photo Fest on October 1, 2017 with a talk and reading about our project Saved: Objects of the Dead.  Selections from the series were featured in a month-long solo exhibition at the Horace Williams House in Chapel Hill, NC. Thanks to all who came to see the work and to Rachel, Tama, Nerys and the staff at the gallery for making this work viewable to the community.

Our Top 100: Greensboro National Folk Festival

I brought Our Top 100 to Greensboro on September 9th and 10th for the 77th National Folk Festival. People contributed 152 songs and memories to our community sourced playlist that was based in Greenhill Center for NC Art for the weekend. Listen to the unique playlist on Spotify. Hopefully I will get all the cards with memories scanned soon to share.

Thanks to the staff at Greenhill for their kindness and support and to Elsewhere for helping me get the playlist started  on Friday, September 8. Also a big thanks to Claudia Ausley for assisting on the project and to Todd Turner for coming and making photos on Saturday.

See people talk about their chosen songs in this video about this community-sourced playlist project: Our Top 100. Thanks to Nealy, Mark, Taek, and Matt for contributing their memories to this project. This project was done at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts in Boone, NC and recorded and edited by Stovepipe Productions.
